Starsky and Hutch are doing great! They pretty much kennel up now when asked (I still give them a treat when they do it though, 'cause they are so cute) Hutch still has potty issues but the boy is doing MUCH better with that and now looks to me when he potty's outside.....He reminds me of a little boy....

They love praise and doing what you want.....they just need to figure out what it is you want. Some days when it seems an uphill battle I have to remind myself that these dogs are from the streets and like children, they need loving, positive discipline and guidance.

Hutch and my little girl are still best of buddy's......We have learned that she is allergic and sadly we cannot foster them anymore :( and there are times in the day we send her upstairs. When he hears her he barks and cries at the bottom of the stairs......We are keeping our fingers crossed that he goes to a home with children (we are starting to think that HE thinks he is a kid also)

The two youngest are upstairs and the oldest is sitting quietly next to me. Starsky and Hutch are in their kennel and the two other little dogs are getting ready to sleep. This is as good as quiet gets until 9:00 pm when everyone is sleeping.

I probably SHOULD be picking this mess up, but figured I would write a bit first. After all it IS Monday :)

After dinner it is play time in the house for the dogs.......we have a pretty large downstairs and when they get to running and chasing each other....all you hear is banging, scraping, sliding. It is pretty funny to watch. I do not think that they are even remotely used to hardwood floors because they are always slipping and sliding. It is like Bambi, hitting the ice for the first time with Thumper. All four legs completely splayed. Big goofy grins on their face. After a couple of days of having Starsky and Hutch, I stopped getting up to check to see what fell this time....

I was on the floor with them earlier, and Hutch right away starts playing and getting silly. Poor Starsky, acts nervous at first. He stands off at a distance with his head cocked to one side watching Hutch and I as if to say "What the heck is she DOING down on the floor". It is too much for him to take....all the laughing and fooling around and eventually he joins us for a bit of fun. He is much more reserved and as Hutch tends to get more and more excited and I have to tell him to be gentle. (those 1 year old teeth are SHARP)....Starsky stays gentle.....

I have said it before and I certainly hope I do not become redundant...but I am going to say it again......these are such sweet dogs. The issues that they have (ie., needing potty training is so common amoung resuce dogs) that I would hate to even call it an issue....The counter surfing has just about stopped.....

I look into those big brown eyes, see the face that wrinkles up at times when they want to ask a question and I can only hope that these beautiful, wonderful dogs, will find their forever home to be only filled with love and peace.
